ACTIONS: antibiotic, hemostatic, styptic, antimicrobial, anti-parasitic, vulnerary. Bitter, cold, vitalizes, the Blood, decongests. Excellent for damp heat of the genitourinary tract.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES: Well known for treating cancer, autoimmune disorders, candida and glandular syndromes. Excellent tonifier for the liver, and endocrine system. Can be curative and a tonic. Chronic diarrhea, urinary tract infections, tumors.
COMBINATIONS: combines with yellow dock, dandelion, wild yam burdock and dong quai as a liver and endocrine system tonic.
GROWTH PATTERN: Is grown in the rainforests of South America, may be heavily contaminated with pesticides. Is vital to purchase only organically grown herb or plantlings. Woods grown herbs are the most ethical and healthy.
