ACTIONS: Anti-anxiety, stimulant, analgesic, sedative.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES: The root is used to treat nervousness, anxiety, stress, insomnia and restlessness. Studies report a significant reduction in anxiety after one week of administration. Helps reduce pain from migraines and menstrual cramps. Great for menopausal anxiety. Improves vigilance, memory, and reaction time. Relieves pain from nerve and skin diseases.Can be used for muscle strain after injury.

GROWTH PATTERNS: Polynesian vine whose leaves grow to 10 " across. Grows best is wet, shady, rocky soil.
SPIRITUAL: When offered for protection a brewed tea is believed to bring good luck. If is is spread around the home and property, the same is believed to occur.
COUNTERINDICATIONS: Large doses can cause a buildup of toxic substances in the liver. When taking this herb caution must be taken while operating heavy machinery or a vehicle. Numbness of the mouth may occur.
DOSAGE: For anxiety, stress and insomnia, drink 2/3 tsp tincture 3 times a day. For urinary tract infections, drink _ a cup of infusion 2 times a day.
